> Candidates for admissions are required to have received thirty private lessons in the Technique before starting training, or to show a letter of recommendation from a teacher recognized by STAT or APTA.
> The interview and a private lesson with each of the permanent teachers allow us to evaluate the candidate’s level of knowledge, openness, and stability -- qualities necessary for the makings of a good teacher.
> Signature of a contract between the school and the student.
> Obligatory membership in APTA, l’Association des Professeurs de la Technique Alexander en France.

Most future students are already teachers or professionals in the fields such as medicine, languages, music, dance, theater and sports. Physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, nurses and engineers, actors and doctors... all professions are represented, since back problems and depression are so widespread in our society.
